Impress everyone at the holiday dinner table with this unique and delicious side dish. The squash pairs with our Almond Oil to create this nutty, buttery flavor that can't be beat.
- 3 tbs Fresh Vintage Farms Almond Oil
- Thyme (fresh)
- 5 cloves garlic
- Chopped pecans (about 3 tbs)
- 1/2 kabocha squash
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Garlic Powder (to taste)
1. Preheat oven to 400 F
2. Cut squash into 1/2-1 inch slices and arrange on baking sheet. Drizzle with Almond Oil and season with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Place fresh thyme on top and roast for 15 minutes.
3. Remove from over after 15 minutes, sprinkle minced garlic, chopped pecans and a little more fresh thyme on top. Put back in the oven to roast for another 10-15 minutes.
If you put the whole squash in the oven for a bit while it preheats, it's much easier to slice.
