Grilled Artichokes with Garlic Lemon Aioli

Want to spice up your sides? These freshly grilled artichokes served with homemade garlic lemon aioli sauce won't disappoint. They pair perfectly with any meat or pasta dish and a glass of wine!


4 artichokes 
2 tbsp almond oil 
1 tsp salt 
1 tsp pepper 
1 cup mayonnaise 
1 clove garlic 
1 tsp dijon mustard 
1 lemon 

Preheat the grill to 450°F. Combine mayonnaise, garlic, dijon mustard, a dash of salt and pepper and the zest and juice of them lemon in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate. Trim the top inch off the artichokes and cut each artichoke in half. Scoop out the the center choke. Preheat a large pan of water with a steam basket attached to it and bring the water to a boil. Place the artichokes in the steam basket over the boiling water. Cover the pan with a lid, and steam the artichokes for 8-10 minutes. Remove the artichokes and drizzle with almond oil, salt, and pepper. Place the artichokes cut side down directly on the grill and grill for 4-5 minutes. Flip them over and grill them on the back side for an additional 4-5 minutes and remove them from the grill. Serve hot with the sauce.
